SDAMLO (amlodipine besylate) · BRILLIAN PHARMA

Cardiovascular Approved 2025-07-24

Sdamlo treats high blood pressure in adults and children six years of age and older. It also helps patients with various forms of chest pain, including chronic stable angina and vasospastic angina, as well as those with documented coronary artery disease. By managing blood pressure, this medication helps reduce the risk of serious cardiovascular events like strokes and heart attacks.

How SDAMLO Works

This medication works by blocking the movement of calcium into the smooth muscle cells of the blood vessels and the heart. This action causes the peripheral arteries to dilate, which reduces blood pressure and lowers the workload on the heart. In cases of chest pain, it helps by restoring blood flow to the heart and reducing the amount of oxygen the heart muscle requires during activity.
